O’Neil Reading Reflection

I have learned that technology is good or bad, it depends how it’s used for people. As I read the book it really opened my eyes on how algorithms work in our world and how it depended on in our everyday life. I read how on media and ads that pops up on your phone are to target people to manipulate what interest them or buy something. I’ve learned from the book there are a lot of different scenarios of how people live, race, gender, different economic classes allow the algorithms influence in our lives. It made me more observing how out society is set up, not knowing your own will or freedom. I’ve remember in my younger age always posting and looking on what’s trending. Now I’m more mature, I’m aware of things and not always on media. I see it as my data will not be taken as much if i’m not always on like I was at my younger age.
